Yes. Links are the easiest way to start, but referral codes are useful when customers buy later, speak to sales, pay by invoice, or complete the purchase outside a standard checkout flow.

The safer default is scheduled payout after the conversion is approved, the refund period has passed, and the company has paid the outstanding affiliate amount. This keeps payouts cleaner and protects against refunds or invalid conversions.

Yes. Every program has a refund window — 14 days by default, set to whatever matches your policy — and a commission only becomes payable once it has passed. Refunds inside that window reverse the commission automatically, and you can see every conversion and its state while it is held.

Commission is paid in cash — a percentage of the order or a fixed amount per conversion — and your affiliates can also be given a discount code to share, so their audience gets something too. Store credit and custom bonus types are not available yet.

Nothing becomes payable until your refund window has passed, so a refund inside it costs you nothing. A full refund reported by your store or by Stripe reverses the commission on its own, without you doing anything.

Yes. Affiliates need an account so they can access their referral link or code, see performance, track pending rewards, and manage payout details when payouts are enabled.

Payout timing is handled by the Promio billing cycle. Companies pay their Promio invoice first — issued monthly on the 10th and due on the 20th — and once payment is received, Promio processes the affiliate payouts tied to approved rewards. Affiliate balances below the platform-wide minimum payable amount stay pending until they accumulate.
